I had to tutor this morning (I'm tutoring Chemistry this semester to a high schooler), and Daniel stayed home with Sadie for a couple of hours. He said he was showering and could see Sadie the whole time through the shower door, but she was being really good and keeping herself busy and quiet. He should have known better!!!!!! When things get quiet, something's up! :) FYI, that's mascara that she prettied herself up with. ha! Too funny. I guess I need to do a better job of hiding my makeup from now on.

Happy birthday Sadie!
Sadie celebrated her 2nd birthday on March 28th! If you ask her how old she is, she says, "2 march". I'm not certain that she understands that she turned 2 in March or if she is thinking about "march 2, 3, 4" (which I say to her when I want her to move it a little quicker), but it sounds good! She very much enjoyed having a birthday this year. She sang "Happy Birthday" to herself for about 3 days and asked for more cupcakes for about as long as well, and she had a very busy birthday weekend.
Our church hosted an Easter Egg Hunt on the 27th. Sadie's friends, Makenzey and Makaley, went with us to the egg hunt, which Sadie LOVED. Then after the egg hunt, Makenzey and Makaley and some of Sadie's other friends from church, Malachi and the four King kids, all came over for lunch. Sadie was pretty much in hog heaven! She LOVES her friends!
That evening, our friend Tara was in town for a conference, and so we got to go have dinner with her in downtown Indy. She gave Sadie the BIGGEST caterpillar known to a 2 year old girl, and it has been the BIGGEST hit!
That Sunday, her actual birthday, was a little rainy. We had planned to go for a picnic at the park, but instead took Sadie to eat pizza and just spent time as a family and let Sadie open all her presents that had come in the mail from her family in Texas. She enjoyed opening presents and played with each present after she opened them. So this all took quite a long time since Mamaw and Papaw and Aunt Amber and Livy sent her LOTS of smaller presents in big boxes. A 2-year old delight!
We had her 2 year check-up, complete with her LAST vaccinations until she's 5 (woo, woo!), this past week. Everything checked out beautifully, and she seems to be the same happy, healthy girl she's always been. I can't remember how tall she was (and they didn't write it down for me this time...how dare they!), but she was in the 65th percentile....quite a change from the 95th percentile at 18 months. She did however weigh 31 lbs (yes 31 lbs!!!!), and that puts her in the 95th percentile for weight! Whoa! So she's a big girl alright. I guess we don't have to worry about feeding her 3 meals a day anymore. :) Just joking! Needless to say, we spent last weekend exchanging alot of her 2T clothes (which is the size I told everyone to get her) she received for her birthday for 3T ones, just to be on the safe size, I mean SIDE! :)

This was taken when the last of her lunch guests were leaving. She was staring out the window watching them go :(
Snacking on some popcorn, on our way downtown to meet up with Tara:
On her actual birthday, Sunday after church, blowing out her candles (I think she was surprised she actually blew out a candle! :))
